North Leeds emerged group winners and 4th overall, narrowly losing to Olicanians in their semi-final. We took seven strong players to rotate and it was brilliant to see them play for each other and bond so well it a very tiring format. Particular mentions go to Rohan hitting 60 not out, Jacques 50 not out (remember, it's a FIVE over game), Yuvraj range hitting some enormous maximums into the trees, Anton and Charlie averaging over 30 average across matches. Ammar for bowling one of the best batsmen of the tournament with a "Gatting ball" round the back of his legs and Andrew being a constant source of motivation and encouragement from behind the sticks.

Very pleasing was the tactical thinking behind keeping an opposition team's best batter in the hutch by playing tight, containing cricket, rather than trying to take wickets, to win the qualifying game decisively.

After nine hours of tournament cricket every one of the players had nothing left to give and were worthy 4th place finalists.
