Neil died suddenly on the 22nd December aged 51 years, as well as playing for junior ,senior and touring sides at North Leedsin the late 70's and 80's . He also played cricket at both Colton and Whitkirk Cricket Clubs.

Neil's funeral service in Saint Matthew's Church, Chapel Allerton on Monday 5th January at 10.45 am followed by interment in Whinmoor Cemetery.

Donations, if desired, may be given for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Fund, a plate for which will be available at the service.
